This beautiful dragonfly has become an iconic illustration from our Enchanted England range. He also forms part of the book cover illustration for the book Blessed Be. This dragonfly was first seen on the River Test, but for the first time this autumn I have seen this species in my garden and is a regular visitor to the pond. Always happy to see him wherever he is found.
I used watercolour, pen and ink in this painting and set him against the dark surface water and left the white space to represent bright daylight.
