Beehave! - tales from the bee hive

This is an account of our first hive of bees that my husband and I cared for last year. We love them, but they can be moody and feisty. Yet when you observe them closely you see magnificent acts of kindness. Last week I noticed a bee, entangled in a cobweb who limped home to the hive’s landing board. It was rescued by its sister bees who patiently licked off the delicate threads until its legs were free enough for it to enter the hive.
